The project&nbsp;<strong>&#8220;Postgraduate Course of Conference Interpreting &ndash; Lviv Polytechnic National University&#8221;<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>CONFINTERP<\/strong>&nbsp;is a unique initiative&nbsp;<strong>funded by the European Parliament<\/strong>, offering new opportunities for students aspiring to build a career in international institutions.<\/p>\n<p>This program is designed in accordance with the&nbsp;<strong>requirements of the Directorate for Translation and Logistics of the European Parliament<\/strong>&nbsp;and aims to train specialists capable of working at the highest level of conference interpreting. With an innovative approach that integrates&nbsp;<strong>digital technologies and practical training<\/strong>, as well as authentic materials from the European Parliament, this course stands out as a unique opportunity for preparing a new generation of interpreters.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What Does the Project Include?<\/strong><br \/>&nbsp;\u2714&nbsp;<strong>Educational modules and a digital platform<\/strong>&nbsp;&ndash; interactive materials, videos, presentations, tests, and other resources for self-learning.<br \/>&nbsp;\u2714&nbsp;<strong>Practical training and conference simulations<\/strong>&nbsp;&ndash; real-world challenges in a virtual environment to help students adapt to working in international organizations.<br \/>&nbsp;\u2714&nbsp;<strong>Simultaneous interpretation training tools<\/strong>&nbsp;&ndash; modern technologies for mastering professional skills in real-time.<br \/>&nbsp;\u2714&nbsp;<strong>Repository of authentic European Parliament materials<\/strong>&nbsp;&ndash; an opportunity to work with real documents and scenarios used in European institutions.<\/p>\n<p>This course enables students not only to grasp the theoretical foundations and methodologies of interpreting but also to&nbsp;<strong>gain real-world experience working with international texts, improve their speed and accuracy, and adapt to the demands of a modern professional environment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Education That Opens Doors to the International Arena!<\/strong><br \/>The project is about&nbsp;<strong>creating an innovative learning ecosystem<\/strong>&nbsp;that prepares students for professional interpreting using cutting-edge technologies. One of the initiative&rsquo;s ambitious goals is&nbsp;<strong>to develop an AI-based computer program<\/strong>, which will help students automatically analyze their mistakes, refine their skills, and prepare for real-world interpreting challenges.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Digitization of Interpreting Training&nbsp;<\/strong><br \/>The development of a&nbsp;<strong>terminology glossary<\/strong>&nbsp;and a&nbsp;<strong>bilingual parallel corpus of EU documentation and legislation<\/strong>&nbsp;are planned as a part of the project&rsquo;s deliverables. This will provide students with a powerful learning tool and contribute to Ukraine&rsquo;s integration into the&nbsp;<strong>European legal and linguistic space<\/strong>. Linguistic diversity and multiculturalism are core values of the&nbsp;<strong>European Union<\/strong>, and this course will help students not only acquire professional skills but also engage in a global dialogue between nations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Educational Integration and International Expertise<\/strong><br \/>This program is an integral part of the&nbsp;<strong>Master&rsquo;s Degree Program in Applied Linguistics (B11) at the Department of Applied Linguistics at Lviv Polytechnic National University<\/strong>. The learning process is led by&nbsp;<strong>experienced professionals<\/strong>&nbsp;who combine academic knowledge with real-world industry challenges.
